Indian/Canadian actress and former fashion model Lisa Ray began her career acting in the Bollywood film Kasoor (2001) and is perhaps best know for her work with Canadian director Deepa Mehta, a collaboration resulting in the films Bollywood/Hollywood and Water.

Fellini's Otto e mezzo (8 1/2). It's a mirror and a portrait - and maybe sometimes you can remember forgotten bits of your deeper, thicker layer when you see it. It shows us how everything is just the play of shadows and memories and desires.
Q2 What excites you about the future of the moving image?
In the future I only hope for cinema which makes us remember our humanness - cinema which penetrates all the layers and crusts.
