How to book a film

You can browse our distribution catalogues by format, including 35mm, DCP and DVD, on the BFI distribution catalogue website.

However, as many of our titles cannot be listed on the website, since the BFI’s holdings are simply too vast, it is always worth contacting us with any specific queries via our enquiry form.

If we have a print of the film you need, we’ll check its availability and supply details about the terms of hire. We’ll also provide information about how prints should be screened, offer programming advice and practical guidance where needed, and let you know if we can supply publicity material such as stills, posters and trailers.

Payment for films

To pay to hire or license a film from the BFI please email us with your request at bookings.films@bfi.org.uk. Please include your full invoice details, including phone number, email address and contact name.
