By invitation from Screen Yorkshire and York University, Andy Harries (Left Bank Pictures) and Estelle Morris (Former Secretary of State for Education and Skills and Minister for the Arts) and Andrew Higson (University of York) joined Professor Ian Christie (Birkbeck College) and Bertrand Moullier (NARVAL) to discuss the cultural impact of UK cinema. Brassed Off, The Damned United and Love on the Dole were a few of case studies examined.
