Press FAQs

How do I join the press list?

If you would like to receive press releases about the BFI's activities, products and services, or attend a press screening of a BFI release, please email pressoffice@bfi.org.uk with your contact and publication details and areas of interest. Your enquiry will be responded to directly.

How can I access images of the BFI's film seasons and releases?

Images from each of the BFI's theatrical or DVD releases, BFI Southbank events or seasons, or BFI IMAX screenings, can be found at www.image.net. This image distribution service is free to join. Simply register your interest on the website and a selection of images can be viewed and downloaded.

How can I get comments on film related issues from an expert at the bfi?

The BFI specialises in film and television education and culture and have a number of experts on staff with a range of expertise – from classical Hollywood to Eastern European Cinema and children's TV. We will endeavour to provide an expert for comment, quote or interview where possible and if we are unable to assist you directly, we will aim to provide you with alternative contact details instead. However we do not represent the British film industry. For further information please email pressoffice@bfi.org.uk and your enquiry will be responded to directly.

How can I get press accreditation for The Times BFI London Film Festival or London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival?

Accreditation to the BFI London Film Festival (13 – 28 October 2010) or the BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival (March – April 2011) opens one month before each festival commences. If you would like any information on either festival outside of normal accreditation times, please email pressoffice@bfi.org.uk with your contact and publication details and areas of interest. Your enquiry will be responded to directly.
