bfi Cultural Diversity Strategy
The bfi is committed to actively engaging with the United Kingdom's many and diverse cultures and communities and to promote public access to film, television and other moving image media relating to these diverse cultures. In order to bring cultural diversity to the core of what we do the bfi has begun to develop a phased series of strategies. The first of these, entitled, 'Towards Visibility' focuses on our plans to more effectively engage with ethnic minority communities. This strategy (shown below) is the result of extensive consultation, within the bfi, with our existing partners and minority ethnic organisations and practitioners UK-wide.
The next phase of the bfi's Cultural Diversity Strategy focuses on a broad range of disability issues.
