Vaults Manager at BFI Conservation Centre

Before joining the BFI Chris studied and worked as a motor mechanical engineer. Chris left this profession to join the BFI National Archive in 1989 as a Stores Assistant.

Chris now holds the position of Vaults and Dispatch Manager, managing the Vaults team at the BFI Conservation Centre. The core activities of the Vaults team is to ensure the proper storage conditions for preservation of the Archive, and transportation of National Collection items such as nitrate and acetate film, magnetic tape and paper artefacts – including scripts, posters and books which make up the BFI’s Special Collections – to our internal and external clients.
