Nigel Gray

Conservation Specialist Team Leader

Nigel has worked for the Archive for over 20 years, beginning with a position in the former Nitrate Testing department. Nigel then moved on to the Technical Selection team, in which he worked on all manner of films assessing the most appropriate elements to use for restoration projects. 

Nigel is currently the team leader of the Projects team, which deals with special projects and restorations, such as the Hitchcock 9 project and The Battles of Coronel and the Falkland Islands (1927). Outside of work, Nigel’s personal interests include British cinema and television, and medieval history.
