Kathleen Luckey

Kathleen is a curatorial archivist at the BFI National Archive. She joined the BFI in 1990, starting in the education department before moving to the television and projects unit, where she provided support for the NFT television programme officer and was involved in the One Day in the Life of World Cinema project. In 1996 she joined the Archive’s television team, where she was responsible for selection and acquisition of television programmes for the BFI National Archive. She joined the curatorial team in 2008 as a television curator, becoming a curatorial archivist in 2016.

Kathleen is interested in children’s television, sport and science fiction and has co-programmed BFI Southbank seasons on children’s as well as SF/adventure television. She has contributed to the International Encylopedia of Television and to the BFI Mediatheques, DVD releases and Screenonline and was lead curator on the BFI Player Olympics on Film collection.
