The Mediatheque is a unique facility which offers unprecedented access into the social and cultural history of Britain through the BFI National Archive - the largest and most diverse film and television collection in the world.

We are actively seeking to develop a network of Mediatheques across the UK.  Come and discover more about this exciting development where people can enjoy - free of charge - hundreds of British films and television programmes at the click of a mouse.  We would also like to take this opportunity to explain our plans for a BFI Film Centre and to seek your input into this.

The newly launched BFI Southbank features, alongside the Mediatheque, three cinemas, a gallery, the studio and a magnificent new bar and restaurant courtesy of benugo.
