Duane Hopkins' first feature is a bleak yet intellectually satisfying exploration of loneliness, emptiness and the spaces in between. A group of young people from the Cotswolds faces the difficulties of growing up in a rural environment with limited opportunities. Trapped by circumstance, the characters deal with the hardships of their lives in different ways in a film that strips away a traditional narrative arc in order to better answer the questions asked by extreme isolation.
