A wonderfully whimsical MGM comedy about the legendary lost village of Brigadoon in the Scottish Highlands that only comes to life every 100 years. Gene Kelly and Van Johnson are the hill-walking Americans who stumble upon the village, while Cyd Charisse is the bonnie lassie with whom Kelly falls in love. Sumptuously over-the-top Hollywood sets add to the fantastical atmosphere, and Lerner and Loewe offer some fine tunes.
