Marnie Edgar (Hedren) is a habitual thief who worms her way into companies as a secretary then robs them of thousands of dollars, before disappearing. But when she tries it at Mark Rutland’s (Sean Connery) firm, he catches her and forces her to marry him. Rutland must then delve into Marnie’s past to find out what is making her sexually frigid, before organising a confrontation with her mother to finally attempt to cure her.
