Scientist Dr. Jack Griffin discovers the secret of invisibility. Troubled by his disappearance, Flora Cranley (Stuart), his sweetheart, appeals to her father Dr. Cranley (Henry Travers) for help. Little do they know that Griffin is living in a rented room, swathed in bandages to give him definition. But as discovers this power is too much for him, his megalomaniacal tendencies take over and he slowly goes insane.
