The BFI Media Conference 2012: Creativity, Industry and Learning

Wed 4 - Fri 6 July 2012, BFI Southbank, London

A must for teachers of Media, Film and ICT at 16+ and in Higher Education, these 3 days of professional development focus in turn on New Media, Television and Film. The conference's mix of workshops, presentations, panel discussions offers the opportunity to explore each in-depth, meet industry speakers and fellow teachers/educators and discover new teaching resources and approaches.

The contributing speakers from across the new media, film and TV industries include editors, commissioners, games developers, audience researchers, marketing consultants, journalists, production managers, writers for games/TV/film, visual effects specialists and more, with all industry speakers’ sessions hosted by education specialists. From teaching and research we are delighted to offer everything from the latest on multiplatform at the BBC to social media and political citizenship, and from representation of gender on TV in Take Me Out to considering the very future of Film Studies.

The provisional programme is available here. Join the email list for updates media.conference2012@bfi.org.uk
