The national agency in Scotland for teachers and lecturers of the media, AMES organises an annual conference and occasional events. As well as publishing the Media Education Journal twice a year, and newsletters for its members, AMES lobbies bodies such as the SQA and the Scottish Executive on behalf of media education and its members are heavily involved as markers and setters.
