Formed from the merger of SCCCMS and AMCCS, MeCCSA's remit is to promote the field of Media, Communication and Cultural Studies in UK Higher Education and make the case for our work, and its enhancement, with funding bodies, the media, schools and colleges and any other appropriate forum. We also support the activities and interests of members through the organisation of events where issues concerning funding, pedagogy and research can be shared and debated.
MOVies is a national network of moving image education specialists which provides the national voice for moving image education linked to exhibition practice in the informal sector. The organisation promotes the understanding and enjoyment of moving image culture through high quality learning experiences.
A forum for debate on all aspects of film, video and animation production in Higher Education. The Association has links with industry and government bodies and represents courses in the UK and Eire that offer a major study in film, video, television, animation and new media practice.
