Assignments for students
1. Research locations in your school that would work well for a sequence for a ghost story called 'The Haunted Student'. Plan and storyboard the sequence using appropriate camera shots and movements. Film and edit (if possible) the sequence.
2. Write your own ghost story using some of the ingredients explored in the activities.
3. Write a review of one or more of the ghost stories on film. Explain in what way they are similar or different to with their source material. What did you find effective about the film? In what way does it seek to build suspense and succeed in inspiring fear?
4. Write an essay exploring why people enjoy watching or reading spooky stories.
