The Key Stage 3 programme for history is constructed in such a way that it is open to very different interpretations by teachers in terms of the historical topics they choose to cover and how they choose to cover those topics. However, there are a number of key themes which are widely covered, generally in Year 8 or Year 9. The Mitchell and Kenyon Collection could prove to be a valuable asset in teaching some aspects of those topics.
