Using personal testimonies
There are many ways these memories could be used to stimulate children's work in the classroom. The quotes provide inspiration for the kind of questions it may be useful to ask in interviewing somebody. The two poems are written by older people reflecting back on their childhood memories and could be used to inspire creative writing activities. The quotes are also divided up into categories which could be used to determine areas of interest to explore further, or use in creating the children's own interviews, personal accounts, pieces of narrative writing, differentiating between fact and fiction and possibly to contribute to their own exhibition.
