Shirley Temple (1928- )

Probably the most famous child star of all time, Temple first appeared in film at the age of 3 years. She could dance, sing and act, and was the hottest box office star in the mid 1930s ranking higher than popular adult stars of the time. Mothers and children everywhere tried to copy her bouncy curls. Her popularity waned as she got older but she left behind a whole range of merchandising and films.
