This section provides details about and ideas for using 16 films to support Citizenship education. The films have been chosen to represent both a range of issues and a variety of filmmaking styles. Each set of notes provides information and commentary about the film and why it is worthy of study, plus ideas for using it to achieve a range of objectives in Citizenship education. As mentioned elsewhere, we would stress that a close analysis of the film in terms of how it is constructed and achieves its effects can only enhance students' understanding of the issues it raises, as well as their own and others' reactions to them.
