Seventeen starring roles: it doesn't seem all that substantial as a career, let alone the kind of body of work belonging to an iconic, legendary figure. The truth is even the films themselves aren't all that highly regarded - only one, My Fair Lady made the American Film Institute's all time top one hundred And yet in a poll by the same organisation Hepburn was named at number three in a list of female movie stars. The explanation is simple, Hepburn is remembered with affection: she's thought of as an eternally chic presence, a uniquely stylish individual. It's that style which so many people want a piece of, making Audrey Hepburn the most in demand figure in the ever growing movie memorabilia market. Original Breakfast At Tiffany's posters change hands at nearly ten thousand dollars a time, website menus treat her as a collectable genre in her own right - scroll past Western or Film Noir and click on Audrey - and a typical day on eBay sees more than fifteen hundred Hepburn items up for grabs. Seventy five years since her birth, and eleven since her death, Audrey Hepburn is a bigger star than ever.
