"On more than one occasion during World War II, camera crews of the Army Film & Photographic Unit found themselves ahead of forward troops, filming as fighting units followed and to the considerable annoyance of those in charge of the action.

"Captain Roy Boulting had assembled and led a team comprising the late Ernest Walter, and Peter Handford in a Jeep as action rolled toward the city of Paris. The city about to be recaptured, the team joined up with the General le Clerk and the Free French contingent, to become the only British representatives in the triumphal entry of liberation."
