JC: "One day, during shooting, the cameraman Hal Rossen was sick and couldn't come to the studios. Luckily Lee Garmes, the Hollywood cameraman, was in London and he consented to come down and light the set. But he couldn't get there until 12 noon and the producer asked me to rough in some lighting on the huge forest interior to prepare it for Mr. Garmes. When Lee arrived the producer introduced me to him and explained I had prepared a few lights to help out. Lee looked at what I had done and said 'This looks fine as it is. Let's shoot it'. What a real gentleman!"
