Scene still of troops in Moscow.
Showing Fonda, Audrey and King Vidor a baby clapperboard, which was used for inserts.
JC: "War and Peace was a biggie! It took nine months to shoot with lots of enormous battles, high drama and a most happy photographic environment with beautiful costumes and candle effects".
"For contractual reasons, we had to shoot the winter scenes in August in Rome. The actors had to wear fur coats and simulate freezing weather although they were dripping with sweat".
