Raining Stones (1993)

Ken Loach: This was another script by Jim Allen and was set in the town where he lived - Middleton near Manchester. It centers on the efforts of the unemployed to raise money and, in this case, for Bob to buy his daughter a dress for her First Holy Communion.

This picture shows them capturing a sheep to sell to the local butcher who rips them off. As Ricky wrestles with the sheep in the back of the van, he is taken with how attractive they can be when you get close to them and Bob wonders how many times he has been caught in that position with a sheep.

This is Bob on one of the jobs that he tries to do where he cleans people's drains. Unfortunately the vicar gets him to do a favour for the parish by clearing this drain for free and then forgets that he should not flush the toilet at the same time.
