16: Blackadder Goes Forth
Number 6 in the Comedy/Variety category
Standing as the finest moment of the Blackadder series, which peered in on a single dynasty at various points during its history, this fourth and last (so far) set of episodes took place in the First World War trenches. It ranged successfully from high farce to sobering anti-war satire, with the cast ending up in the stickiest predicament since Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun. DF
