Luchino Visconti is a new edition of Geoffrey Nowell-Smith's landmark text, first published in 1967. It is now updated to include the last three films that Visconti made before his death, together with some relections on the 'auteur' theory of which the original edition was a key example. Published April 2003 priced £13.99 in paperback.

There was an exhibition at the NFT to accompany the film season, featuring costumes from the opera La Traviata which was directed by Visconti at the Royal Opera House in 1967. This exhibition ran from 9 April until mid June 2003.
