Cocoon (1985)

Film details

Sci-fi fantasy. A group of retired folk living in a home by the sea often sneak into the grounds of an abandoned estate to use the pool. A group of strangers hire a local fishing boat and collect some mysterious giant oyster-like shells from the ocean, which they store in the pool. Swimming in the pool with the shells, the old folk regain their youthful energy. Yet when the secret of their new-found vitality gets out, the purpose of the cocoons becomes clear and the swimmers fear they have caused more trouble than they realised.
