Synopsis

This powerful romantic drama from Frannie Hurst brings together Susan Hayward, John Gavin and Vera Miles in a poignant story of love and sacrifice.

Susan Hayward stars as Rae Smith, a successful dress designer. She is the "other woman" in Paul Saxon's life, played by John Gavin.

Saxon, heir to a gigantic chain of department stores has everything, he is wealthy, handsome, talented - and married! His wife, Liz, played by Vera Miles, is the obstacle to his happiness. A confirmed alcoholic she refuses to divorce him with only their two children holding their shaly marriage together.

Rae and Paul meet in secret - but still love blossoms.
