Film details


Mr. Figg, a Jewish barber and a bachelor, returns to his flat on Friday night and lights the traditional candles. He is joined by his dumb friend Dober to whom he speaks of his loneliness and longing for family life. He finally decides to propose to a widow Mrs Werner, but a brief contact with her and her children persuades him this is no solution. He returns to his flat and is joined by Dober. Their friendship can continue as before.
