Synopsis

A disappointed mechanic, Frank Taylor, joins a secret racist organisation called the Black Legion, aimed to preserve American privileges and oppress and get rid of foreigners, after the foreman's job at his factory goes to Dombrowski. The Legion attacks Dombrowski and his home and Frank eventually gets the foreman's job. However, he becomes more involved with the Legion in recruiting and terrorising activities. His friend Ed Jackson learns of their activities when Frank is indiscreet. Frank's wife confronts him when her suspicions are aroused, but leaves him when he hits her. The Legion abducts Ed to threaten him, but in escaping Frank shoots him. On the stand in court Frank eventually confesses everything about the Legion and what has happened.
