William and Dorothy (1978)

Film details

Synopsis

First of two films about the Lakeland Poets. Much of the moving poetry by William Wordsworth was inspired by the passionate relationship with his sister Dorothy. In spite of Wordsworth's love affair in revolutionary France and his marriage to Mary, it was Dorothy and the splendour of the lakes that shared his heart.
