Synopsis

The blame for a series of terrible murders in the village of Vandorf falls on young Bruno Heitz, who is found hanging from a tree. Professor Heitz, his father, seeks the help of Professor Namaroff who is working on the anatomy of the human brain. Namaroff's beautiful assistant, Carla, also wishes to know more about the murders. Namaroff refuses aid and Heitz cables his other son, Paul, to come. Meanwhile he visits the ruinous castle Borski where an inhuman presence turns him to stone. Paul questions Namaroff and enlists the help of his tutor, professor Meister. Finally in the castle there is a fight between Paul and Namaroff who is suddenly turned to stone. Meister appears in time to sever the head of the ancient Gorgon.
