Comedy. A young advertising executive, Marshal, is told that the company is in danger of losing many of its clients unless he comes up with a great new campaign for Luxembourg lager by Wednesday. Preoccupied with this task, he is too flustered to listen to his wife Janice when she tries to tell him she is expecting a baby. (They met years before, when Janice was a model posing in the Miss Luxembourg campaign.) They go to the cinema and watch John Wayne in a film called 'For Ever and Ever and Ever', in which Wayne treats his wife very well, as Janice observes pointedly afterwards. Their argument escalates and she throws him out of the flat they share with her mother, and Marshal stays at the flat of a friend who then tries to make a move on Janice. Marshal comes up with a new campaign idea: a series of photos showing that Miss Luxembourg is now Mrs Luxembourg, because she serves her husband the best lager. The idea is a success, but the creation of photos for the campaign does not go smoothly, and the couple reach the brink of divorce, awkwardly holding a legal meeting in the lift of their apartment block because Janice has hired the lift operator (and law student) as her lawyer. Eventually Marshal learns that Janice is pregant and they reunite happily. They go on a trip, and on the ship they bump into John Wayne, who is being henpecked by his unappreciative wife.
