There she is given medication and electric shock therapy to help her forget her worries. She meets Betty, a fellow patient, and they form a friendship, taking part in exercise classes, occupational therapy and table tennis together. One night she runs away from the hospital and goes home but her husband takes her back again. Eventually her treatment is concluded and she returns to her family.
