Synopsis
Wally, a Punch and Judy man in a small seaside town, is invited to take part in the municipal gala celebrations. Delia, his wife, is a social climber and accepts for him because she wishes to meet the local smart set. Wally, who is idealistically opposed to the Mayor, reluctantly accepts for her sake although their marriage seems almost at an end. The function ends in disaster for both of them but their marriage seems likely to survive based on a new mutual understanding.
