S.O.B. (1981)

Film details

Comedy, satire. Until 'Night Wind', the films of Felix Farmer, Hollywood's top-grossing director, has never lost money. But when "Night Wind' bombs with both critics and public, Felix crumbles. He suffers a nervous breakdown and his wife and 'Night Wind' star Sally Miles, filmdom's wholesome box-office attraction, walks out, taking the children, the ambitious social secretary and the temperamental Chinese cook with her. Meanwhile, Capitol Studio vicepresident David Blackman attempts to wrestle the film from Felix's wayward control in order to salvage some of the studio's enormous investment. But the efforts of his henchmen Dick Benson and Tim Culley are more immediately focused on restraining Felix's suicide attempts. Nothing will persuade Felix to part with his film. Recovering his 'sanity', he gambles everything on turning 'Night Wind' into the sex extravaganza of all time with Sally recreating her role in a very 'revealing' way. With Blackman still clamouring for his piece of the action, Felix determines to stand firm or perish in the attempt.
