Synopsis

Documentary about the period of the stage career of Bernard Miles when he worked in music halls and the Mermaid Theatre which he founded. Conversations with his guests are interspersed with extracts from his famous monologues, as well as specially written songs performed by Gareth Hunt and Una Stubbs and a duet between Beryl Reid and Miles himself.
