Richard Dawkins, Oxford zoologist and author of "The Selfish Gene" and "The Blind Watchmaker", investigate the mysterious footprints found in Texas which creationists assert prove that men lived concurrently with the dinosaurs of 100 million years ago. He regards the footprint myth as the more bizarre edge of a spreading disaffection with Darwinism, a general feeling that the theory of natural selection has recently been eroded and discredited. Through his visit to the Texan dinosaur site and with the aid of computer demonstrations, Richard Dawkins seeks to prove that the natural selection theory is still valid, and that Evolution, the 'Blind Watchmaker' of the title has resolutely weathered the test of time.
