From the book by F. Hopkinson Smith. Young girl goes to live with Uncle on plantation when father, a gold miner, dies. His family treat her as a servant and her only friends are the other servants. One day father's partner arrives bringing with him a chest full of treasure, just in time to provide trousseau for her coming marriage.
