Synopsis

Documentary about the rise to power in San Francisco during the 1970's of Harvey Milk, a long-haired gay camera store owner from the sleepy Castro District who became one of the city's most colourful and influential elected officials as well as one of the decade's most prominent leaders of the lesbian and gay rights movement. He was shot and killed at his office in City Hall at the same time as Mayor George Moscone on 27th November 1978.
