Synopsis

Set in November 1988, during the Cold War on the border of Czechoslovakia and East Germany. A colonel who has caused nothing but trouble in his career, is stationed at a post near the border. When he witnesses the murder of a defector, he rightly blames the soviet colonel, and throws a snowball at him. A feud develops between them. Then a Czech, working in West Germany, comes between the two because she needs help to return to her daughter.
