Film details

Synopsis

The career of Jack Lucas, an arrogant, egotistical American radio DJ is ruined when a caller he has taunted on air proceeds to gun down seven yuppies in a trendy club. Wracked by guilt, he leaves his job and three years later is drunk and contemplating suicide when he is set upon by two thugs. He is rescued by Parry, another drop-out and former professor of mediaeval history who is subject to visions of a menacing Red Knight and who tries to persuade Jack that his mission is to retrieve what Parry believes to the Holy Grail - a silver cup kept in a bookcase in the mansion of a billionaire. Jack believes Parry to be totally mad, but on discovering that his wife was one of the victims of his radio listener, the effect of which is the cause of his madness, he seeks him out again and decides to help him win the heart of the girl he loves, as a means of purging himself from his guilt.
