Synopsis

Considers examples of tougher legislation against discrimination in America and Northern Ireland that could be relevant to Britain's race relations laws, and successful organisation of themselves that has led to some black workers improving both their own lot and the attitudes of their companies, including black workers on London Underground. The programme also includes and interview with Minister of State at the Home Office, Angela Rumbold; Nigel Fraser, from the Society of Black Lawyers; and, the Chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality, Michael Day.
