Film details


Examines the problems and cartography involved in mapping mountains such as Mount Everest, and follows the history of the exact measuring and mapping of the latter, from those surveys conducted by mountaineering expeditions and early explorers, to modern ones using planes and satellite. It also considers the startling news that K2 may actually be the world's tallest mountain according to recent satellite calculations.
