Programme focussing on British consumption of fats and high heart-disease, looking at why heart diseases prevention programmes, such as Heartbeat Wales, are not being totally successful and the reasons for people's reluctance to give up fatty foods. Anthropologist Dr Charlie Davison looks at what effect such campaigns were having and found that although people were making changes in their diets, these were largely superficial, and how there was awareness that heart attacks were not restricted to the high-fat consuming unfit, nor afflicted many of the latter. Doctors and scientists also argue about whether large-scale radical changes to diet do actually have a significant effect on the natural level of heart disease.
