Portrait of Hakim, a Muslim coach-driver in the former Soviet republic of Uzbekistan, who fulfilled his long-cherished ambition to visit the Blue Mosque of Istanbul, travelling 3000 miles in fourteen days in his coach which he filled with like-minded villagers. The journey was fraught with problems and his companions, for one reason or another, dropped out of the pilgrimage. Finally, he had to abandon his bus and complete the journey by air.
