Cartoon burlesque of 'Hamlet'.

'Amlet, the Gloomy Dane, drives Ophelia dotty by offering her vegetables instead of flowers, then cutting off her hair ("to bob or not to bob"). Laertes (bearing a close resemblance to William S. Hart) complains to the King of 'Amlet's behaviour, and Ophelia pelts the court with vegetables. 'Amlet, filled with remorse, joins the Boy Scouts. Ophelia falls into the river, and 'Amlet is able to apply first-aid on account of his Boy Scout manual. They embrace.
