The true story of Arthur Crewe Inman, an invalid from 1914, who charmed numerous women into going to his flat, telling him their secrets and allowing him sexual licence. A sadistic man, Inman wrote 17 million words describing these encounters, which he gave to his wife Evelyn to type. She left him several times but always returned, and was with him when he shot himself.
